Organizers were Dr Marianne Rasmussen, Univ. of Iceland Research Centre in Húsavík, and Dr Níels Einarsson, Stefansson Arctic Institute.

This workshop was an interdisciplinary event with presenters from various fields of research to highlight human-ceatecean interactions and encounters seen from different perspectives within natural and human sciences including a discussion in the end of the workshop on policy options and problem solving.
